Cobalt Blue Skies
Submitted by BlackJaw on Thu, 02/08/2007 - 21:01.It was a nice day, so I walked home from work.
Just after sunset in Seattle, when the sun is gone and the orange and pink colors in the clouds have all but faded, the rest of the sky, clouded or not, turns an impossible shade of blue that almost seems to glow. It doesn't last long, but it's nice to see.
I took this picture next to a movie theater.
Just a Street

This street has a great view of the Puget Sound, and light on the water made the dark shape of the cargo ship look much more impressive then it does durring the day. In the distance you can see the Olympic Mountain Range, still covered in snow.
I took this picture mostly for the light off the water, which somehow didn't match the sky or even the ending sunset, but was some left over orange-yellow light.

This is a shot of the new Seattle Art Museum's Sculpture Park near down town Seattle. The strange shape in the front is a big orange-salmon colored metal sculpture that has the shape of a fish or Orca jumping out of the water. You can see a ferry going by in Puget Sound past it, and a few people walking along the top of the sculpture park near the statue.
