The stakes having now risen from simple pranks to extended works of creativity and effort, Kip manages to gift wrap Tom’s entire desk, complete with massive gold bow and gift tag.  Tom ignores the “do not open till Christmas” label.

Tom’s next volley in the war is widely held as the most creative.  Kip had locked his desk, falsely bealiving that Tom had no keys.  Tom secretly removes the contents of Kip’s desk and replaces it with live goldfish complete in a small plastic lined partial aquarium.  As red hearing Tom then left a small pile of gravel (the kind used in fish tanks) on Kip’s desk.
