Yurtle's new tank is equipped with an ultrasonic fog device on a digital timer.  Three times a day it runs for a about a half hour and moistens the tank and Yurlte.

He's not a fan of it yet, but it should help him stay comfortable. 

I've always said I should find a way to get Yurtle a bit of a pond. 

Well the dry air up here in Seattle (yes it sort of rains a lot, but it's dry when it isn't raining) has been dehydrating my turtle, which is very bad for him.  It's so cold he spend all day in front of the heater and ends up drying out so bad his eyes swell up.

His new tank should fix this.  It's got a 4 inches of water in the tank.  In the corner is a waterfall that hides a water filter designed for this kind of shallow pond system.

This was part of a set of pictures of my pet turtle that I was altering in photoshop in an attempt to turn them into something of an art piece. I was never able to get enough good pieces to make the overall display I wanted, but this was one of the better ones that did get made.

It's called Bad Eye because one of Yurtle's eyes is bright orange and the other, this one, is much less bright.

Tom’s next volley in the war is widely held as the most creative.  Kip had locked his desk, falsely bealiving that Tom had no keys.  Tom secretly removes the contents of Kip’s desk and replaces it with live goldfish complete in a small plastic lined partial aquarium.  As red hearing Tom then left a small pile of gravel (the kind used in fish tanks) on Kip’s desk.
