Snow Tunnel 2005

This is how we got our food and bags to and from the car.

This is what you'd see from the street, say if you drove by or walked your dog past.

This is the view from the street side tunnel.

This is the Trench out to the Street Tunnel.  From this angle you can see why it took 3 people to clear it out.  1 digging and 2 stages of snow removal to get the snow out of the tunnel.

These are the finished trenches that connect the tunnels to the cabin. The trenches were between 3 and 6 feet deep before entering the small tunnels.

The tunnel on the right went to the cars, and just out of sight to the left is the tunnel to the street.

Tunnel progress is slowed by the discovery of a tree fully encased in snow.

After much debate it is decided that we will dig through the tree.
