Our latest, and maybe heaviest, furniture acquisition is this used card catalog. 
 
It's a bit beat up on some edges, and has various pencil and pen marks all over it, but overall it's in decent shape. I'm about to spend some time gluing some of the more bashed sections back into place.  All the spots in this photo where you can see blue tape are spots that need some glue.  Nothing is falling off or falling apart, but we'd like to keep it that way.

So here we go.  The waiting game.
I've give the jar a good shake, and it's clear that the cooked down blueberries, and the mix of chopped plant matter, have really thickened things up.  I'm figuring that after the filtering and mix of water based second infusion, it will be fine.

In order to ensure proper bittering and rounded flavor, I'm using this dried root as well as the fresh chopped leaves.  Yes it's a lot of dandelion, but it's what I had access to.

Here I've got the lemon zest, and as little pulp as possible, peeled. I also chopped it into smaller bits before it was added to the jar.
The rest of the lemon didn't go to waste either.  It ended up being juiced for an unrelated cocktail.

Fresh red dandelion leaves, as part of the bittering agents.
It's one of the easier ingredients to find on a store shelf, or in a park.
